Kaya Hat

The hat is worked from the bottom up, beginning with a folded brim. The entire hat is worked in stockinette stitch and reversed stockinette stitch, with decreases at the crown. The hat is knit using one strand of merino wool, held together throughout with one strand of mohair.

50g (x2 colors) Lang yarns merino 120(50g=120m) and 25g (x2 colors) DROPS kid-silk(25g=210m) or 50g (x2 colors) Lana grossa cool wool big (50g=120m) and 25g (x2 colors) DROPS kid-silk(25g=210m)

4.5mm (40cm) circular needle

Size:

Small (Medium) Large

Small = Head circumference 52-54cm

Medium = Head circumference 55-57cm

Large = Head circumference 58-60cm

Gauge:

20sts x 27rows = 10 x 10cm in stockinette stitch on 4.5mm needles before blocking

Colors:

In Photo 1, the colors used are 1606 Dark Red Mottled and 1030 Baby Pink from Lana Grossa Cool Wool, paired with colors 71 Dark Grape and 03 Light Pink from DROPS Kid-Silk.

In Photo 2, the colors used are 390 and 020 from Lang Yarns Merino 120, paired with colors 71 Dark Grape and 08 Light Jeans Blue from DROPS Kid-Silk.
